Training Opportunites
On-the-job training is provided to all employees and is provided by senior staff. Safety training is provided to all staff (WHMIS is mandatory and will be provided if necessary, followed by training in the company's safety program). Apprenticeship opportunities can be arranged for selected applicants in various positions including mechanics and crane operators.

Hours, Pay and Benefits
LMT has full and part-time positions depending on the time of year. Work is generally year-round. However, seasonal employment is generally available during the peak season of April 15th to November 30th of each year. Overtime is available for employees and weekday (evening) shift work may be required during peak season in the paving division. Hours of operation are typically 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Saturday. A benefits package is provided to employees satisfying the three-month probationary period.

Generally, resumes are reviewed immediately, a formal interview is scheduled, and the selection process begins. The necessary paperwork is filled out (i.e. payroll, employment contract, etc.). Successful candidates will participate in a workplace and safety orientation The employee is then given a practical orientation and/or performance evaluation prior to being able to work independently.
